There are multiple ways to get car/">cigarette smoke smell out of your clothes. Some of these are listed below:

Dryer sheet in a Ziplock bag

Another effective way to get rid of car/">cigarette smoke smell from your clothes is by placing a dryer sheet in a ziplock bag along with your clothes. Try not letting dryer sheet come in contact with clothes as it can stain them. Leave your clothes in there for a couple days and then check if the odour is gone or not. You can use scented dryer sheets as well.

Baking soda in a Ziplock bag

You can get car/">cigarette smoke odour out of your clothes by placing your clothes in a ziplock bag and adding baking soda to it. Let that stay for a couple of days. The baking soda tends to absorb odour thereby making your clothes car/">cigarette smoke free.

Fill your washing machine with warm water and add a cup full of white vinegar to it. Add baking soda for boosting the effect. Let it soak for at least 60 minutes. Add detergent and wash your clothes. Prefer air dry over machine dry as clean air acts as purifier for bad car/">cigarette odour.

Activated Charcoal and your closet

You can place activated charcoal in your wardrobe closet. Activated charcoal absorbs bad car/">cigarette odour and leaves the closet smell free. Other options which may use instead of activated charcoal are wads of newspaper, coffee grounds in a fabric baggie, or cedar chips, among others, in the zip lock bag method or in your closet. You an try different combinations until you find what works best for you.

At times your clothes just need to breathe in more of fresh air to make them car/">cigarette odour free. Try hanging them in open and assess the effect of it. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight as it can effect the colouring of your clothes.
